As an owner, it is important to be aware of the vital if not subtle signs of onset, because the earlier pneumonia is recognised, the better the chance our deep chested hounds have a full recovery.  Once an infection develops deep in the lung tissue, it becomes tough to control, even if the correct drug is found.

The single most important thing about pneumonia recovery is to catch the symptoms very very early.  So any slightest concern or suspicion that your hound may have pneumonia then please of straight to your vets.  Ps. remember the thermometer is your friend!
